APTTC - January-Sponsor Conie Fong (2 images)

I volunteered to design a second image for the January challenge which is happening over at
Our sponsor is Conie Fong.  I chose to go with 2 Conie images one is Bamboo Pandas and the second is Balloon Bears.

On the Panda Balloon image I used my TH distress inks, crushed olives & peeled paint.  I printed and minimized the images to fit an ATC card and colored them w/ copic markers.

I created a small slit beneath the panda to insert part of him into it
and cut some slivers of card stock that I colored to represent grass.

I also hand drew and colored the bamboo sticks some on card stock and some on frosted vellum paper.  Below are some samples of how I created and painted them.

************************************************

I began with prepping the ATC using my Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks.  Setting the ATC aside and printed out the Balloon Bear image and began coloring with my Copic markers.
Liquid Applique was used to form the clouds, I used a heat gun to make it puff up.  For the string on the balloons I used thin metal wire,  this photo does not do it justice.

APTTC - DEC. SPONSOR DR. DIGI

Hello and welcome to my blog.  For the month of December I am the Guest Designer for the challenge happening over at
Our sponsor this month is Dr. Digi and I am using the Hi-Fi-Hugh.
As soon as I saw the image I knew right away what I was going to create.  The image was downloaded onto my printer and uploaded it to Canva where I downsized the image to the ATC size I wanted.
The entire image was colored with Copic markers.
The background was 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" white card stock pressed through the Switch machine using a Tim Holtz small brick embossing folder.  I then used my Distress Inks, barn door, fired brick and finished around the borders with black soot.
The blue graffiti splatter with the word "ART" was hand drawn.

Janet Klein-Vera Lane - Starry Night Joy Ride

One of my favorite ATC creations. The car is from AALL & Create and the passengers are from different Vera Lane collections that I threw together.
Everything else was hand drawn.
TH distress inks, spiced marmalade, salty ocean, uncharted mariner and black soot inks.
I cut out the 3 window panels to see through them, that took a while and a very sharp exacto knife.  A white pen for the stars and  copic markers.
Another fun task, btw, my table is a mess. 😜
Stay humble and safe.

Janet Klein-Vera Lane - Emily Anne - Autumn

Sharing my Emily Anne Autumn image from
Here I share a mixed media ATC featuring one of the many Emily Anne images.  I began with a blank ATC.

A Leaf stencil by Studio Light.  I used Ranger texture paste, allowed it to dry.  TH distress ink spiced marmalade throughout the card.
Emily Anne was painted with copic markers.

A Martha Stewart maple leaf stamp was used for the larger leaves, each one was distressed.  Some elements from the AALL & Create EP-86 package (lamp post & foreground stones).

Hope you enjoy and thanks for passing by.

Janet Klein-January 👒

Hello everyone, back with another image by Janet Klein from Vera Lane Studios.

This image is titled “January Hats”  I began with lightly coloring the background with distress inks Salty Ocean.

For the foreground I used clear crackle from Tim Holtz which is hard to see (I will try and post a close up).  The snow drifts were created by tearing pieces of frosted vellum and inking the edges with distress inks Salty Ocean.  I colored the images with my Copic markers, the igloo was hand drawn and not part of the collection, there is a small bird which I didn’t include only because I forgot about it. 🫢

Thanks for swinging by and I hope I inspired you.

ATC Vera Lane Digital It’s Fall Y’all

ATC I began with TH distress inks, images were colored with my Copic markers.  The falling leaves were from a Martha Stewart leaf punch and each was colored with distress inks, veins on leaves were hand drawn with a Sepia Copic 0.3 Multi-Liner.

The tree on the side and distant birds waere hand drawn as well as the distant mountains, used the same Vera Lane mountains from her “Hiker” collection.
The grass, bird and turtle and mushroom were also from other Vera Lane collections.  White splatter towards the end.

Janet Klein - Vera Lane Circus In Town Layout

The Circus is in town!  Come one, come all!
What fun, fun, fun I had creating with Janet's beautiful Vera Lane Studio digital creations.  They can be downloaded from Etsy/Vera Lane Studio Digitals or at Vera Lane Studio Digitals.  Each piece was colored with my faithful Copic markers.   Each digital image was downloaded and resized on Canva.
All these images are from Janet Klein's collection which can be found on Etsy/Vera Lane Studio Digitals.

Here are some of the images I colored with Copic markers.

Another fun project.  Hope you have been inspired.
Be well.

2 ATCs by Stampoutique

These were created for a challenge I joined with the Katzelkraft & Stampoutique FB.  These stamps were mutated, I switched the dog's heads and the character on the left had longer legs.  I hand drew the entire background and the base of where he stands which is a rooftop.  The brick underneath is part of a 12x12 page I cut to fit.
The smaller character of the ATC on the right was much bigger and I minimized him.  The grass was from a roll of grass that I cut down to size.
Lots of details to look into.
Thanks for passing by.

Katzelkraft/Stampoutique Stamp ATC

Here is another ATC using Katzelkraft/Stampoutique stamp that I stamped, scanned and minimized on my printer. I used my Copic markers, Multi-Liner, Distress Inkj, Glossy Accent, Flower Soft (Fall colors) which I glued around the foreground to simulate fallen leaves.
If I remember correctly there are 7 stamps used and I hand drew the mountains, birds in the background and the shadow of the boy images as well as the bench and lamppost.

CC Designs Stamp

Here is a stamp by CC Designs named "Its Showtime."  I can't begin to tell you what fun it was creating it.
I used my Copic markers to color him in and the background was a SB 12x12 page that I cut down to size for the ATC.  He is actually 3D but its hard to tell with this photo.
Thanks for stopping by.

Katzelkraft ATC

Katzelkraft/Stampoutique stamps, I stamped them with black ink, scanned on printer and minimized.  Copic markers used, Distress Inks and a Copic Multi-liner.

DENTIST CONFIGURATION BOX

A Tim Holtz configuration box I created for my dentist who was very patient with me.  Trust me, he deserved it and more!  ðŸ˜‰

Various embellishments, some stickers, some the Dentist himself gave me, a lot of items I already had and the rest I ordered online.

He had no clue what I was going to create.
This photo shows it lid up with micro lights.

He was blown away when I gave it to him.

Hope you liked!

Goodbye Britni Layouts

My dear sweet Briti.

The left part of the layout began with a photo that I cut out into a circle.  I had drew the extension of the tree and I punched out every leaf and inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress inks.  The doves are stickers from Jolee, I hand drew the rainbow bridge scene and rainbows.  On vellum paper I typed and printed a Rainbow Bridge poem.  I forgot the name of what I used for the clouds, they're thin shiny fibers that you can stretch out lightly.

In this layout I placed a 4x6 photo in portrait view and  I then hand drew the extended part of her neck and collar area.  The embellishments are all rub ons.

Hope you are inspired by my work.

Underwarter Family Canvas

I created this canvas by painting the background then applying some Tim Holtz distress inks.  I cut our some underwater plants out of red vellum paper, then used some Copic markers to show some far away underwater plants (not quite visible) then I used some colored chips from Michaels and some tiny pebbles, colored some Tim Holtz sprocket gears, some coiled wire that comes coated with tiny colored styrofoam bits.

I also used some spiral metal that I have in different colors, added a fun chain around the canvas.

Some underwater charms I had gathered throughout the years.

Enjoy!

Dragon To The Rescue - Canvas

Law In Love - Canvas

This photo of hubby and I was created around a police shield.  I began with coating the canvas with gesso.
Once dry I began to glue down embellishments where I wanted.  I then painted it using red paint, then I dry brushed it all with white and placed unpainted gears throughout.

You like... I do.
